Bridal Makeup
Experience – FAQs
What is Brittany’s makeup style?
Brittany specializes in elevated soft glam — polished, timeless, and refined. Her approach focuses on enhancing natural features while ensuring the makeup translates beautifully both in person and on camera. The goal is always for brides to feel confident, radiant, and fully themselves.
Do you provide skincare?
Skin preparation is an essential part of Brittany’s makeup process. On the wedding day, she thoughtfully preps the skin using professional-grade products selected specifically for the bride’s skin type, texture, and desired finish. This step ensures the makeup applies seamlessly, wears beautifully, and translates beautifully both in person and on camera.
Brittany encourages brides to work directly with a licensed skincare professional or dermatologist for any treatments, procedures, or product recommendations leading up to the wedding. Brittany is always happy to collaborate within that plan and advise on timing and what to avoid close to the wedding day to ensure the best possible makeup results.
What is included in bridal makeup?
Bridal makeup includes a fully customized makeup application on the wedding day, scheduled for approximately two hours. The bridal application is intentionally placed at the end of the makeup timeline so the bride transitions directly into photos feeling polished, present, and fully taken care of.
Each bridal service also includes a personal touch-up kit with lip products and essential items to help maintain the look throughout the day.
Are touch-ups available?
Yes. On-site touch-ups are a service Brittany is happy to provide. Many brides choose to have Brittany remain on-site beyond the initial makeup application to support touch-ups throughout portraits, the ceremony, or extended events.
Touch-up services are offered on an hourly basis and can be tailored to the duration and flow of the wedding day, depending on the bride’s preferences and overall timeline.
How long does makeup take for the bridal party?
Bride: approximately 2 hours
Bridesmaids / Mothers: approximately 1 hour per person
Timelines are thoughtfully structured to feel calm, unhurried, and seamless while ensuring everyone is ready on time.
Do you offer bridal trials?
Yes. Bridal trials are highly encouraged and allow time to refine the look, test longevity, and align on details ahead of the wedding day. Trials are typically scheduled as a focused, one-look session.
Bridal trials are offered exclusively to the bride and are designed to collaborate on the wedding-day makeup look. This is a working session focused on colors, tones, finishes, and longevity as they translate specifically to the bride.
Bridal trials are not offered to mothers, bridesmaids, or other members of the wedding party. Any non-bridal clients interested in a preview appointment prior to the wedding are welcome to book a standard makeup service, which differs from a bridal trial in structure and scope.
Bridal trials are scheduled independently and are not transferable to other services or clients.
Preparing for Your Bridal Trial
Rather than relying on photos of other faces, Brittany prefers to begin with you.
Before the trial, brides are encouraged to share one to three photos of themselves from moments when they felt most confident and beautiful. These can be professional photos or personal images and help Brittany understand how you naturally see yourself and what feels most aligned.
To ensure clear stylistic alignment, brides are also asked to review Brittany’s bridal work in advance. Her portfolio reflects her signature approach to elevated soft glam — polished, refined, and timeless. Selecting elements you’re drawn to within her work allows the trial to be collaborative while staying grounded in Brittany’s artistry.
If additional guidance is helpful, Brittany is always happy to share past bridal looks or walk through examples together.
Please note that Brittany does not replicate or recreate other artists’ work. Each look is custom-designed to enhance your features while staying true to her signature style.
Skin behavior can vary from day to day, particularly for brides using active skincare ingredients such as retinol or exfoliants. Brittany approaches each trial with flexibility and intention, focusing on how the makeup will translate on the wedding day rather than forcing perfection in the moment. Final wedding-day applications are always calibrated to current skin condition, environment, and planned differences such as spray tanning or lash extensions.
Where do bridal trials take place?
Bridal trials are most often held at the client’s preferred location when possible. If needed, trials may also take place at Brittany’s private home studio in Peachtree Corners, GA. Please note that this is a private residence rather than a brick-and-mortar salon. Exact address details are shared once an appointment is confirmed.
Travel considerations may apply depending on location.
Do you provide hair services?
Brittany provides makeup services exclusively for bridal parties. If hair services are needed, she is always happy to recommend or coordinate with trusted hairstylists she frequently works alongside.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. Brittany regularly travels for weddings both domestically and internationally.
All travel-related expenses — including mileage, parking fees, hotel accommodations, and flights when applicable — are the responsibility of the client and are arranged based on the specific needs of the event and location.
Is there a booking minimum?
Wedding day services may have a minimum depending on the date and scope of services, particularly for peak-season Saturdays. These details are always discussed clearly during the booking process to ensure alignment.
How do we reserve our date?
Wedding dates are reserved once a deposit has been received and a signed bridal contract is completed. Dates are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
What if details change?
Wedding planning is a layered process, and details often come together over time. While Brittany is always understanding of the planning journey, it is encouraged to finalize headcounts, timing, and service details prior to signing the bridal contract whenever possible. Having clarity in advance allows the day to be planned with intention and care.
